The final act of the War of the Fourth Coalition in Eastern Europe. After Prussia collapsed, Russia continued fighting to preserve its influence in Poland and prevent complete French dictate in Germany; Bennigsen's defeat forced Alexander I to accept the Treaty of Tilsit and temporarily become Napoleon's ally. After Bernadotte was wounded, I Corps was commanded by Marshal Victor.
